Nigerian Pop music maestro Alexander Okoroigwe a.k.a. Alex O has launched a successful return to the music scene with a smash hit single titled “Egovin”. Alex O who was the leading pop music star of the 90s told
Umuaka Times that Egovin is a typical love song that describes the feeling people get when they find a new love. “Out of the happiness and excitement, you hear all kinds of beautiful words being used to describe the situation. It’s also a party dance song for the clubs and all occasions but more so, wedding parties,” he told Umuaka Times last week when the Lagos reporter of the magazine called on him.
According to Alex O, he wrote and produced the song himself and it was recorded in his own studios in Lagos. Umuaka Times gathered that Alex O is now working on the visuals, which according to him will be ready very soon and the song will be released under his personal music label Alex O Music AOM.
Concerning the marketing of the song, the music superstar confirmed that efforts are on top gear to make the song available on music platforms such as, Itunes, Spotify, Amazon, Tunecore and the rest while the promotional activities for the song on radio, TV and Cable TV outlets will come later after the online promotions have gathered momentum.
On his message to his numerous fans all over the world,On why he decided to starve his fans of his special dancing skills and golden voice over the years, Alex O, told Umuaka Times, “I did not run away. I went for a production course overseas where I studied film and animation production. In fact, I and have been doing post production jobs for many Nollywood producers such as Emeka Ossai, Jennifer Eliogu, Andy Best, Shan George, Johnson Davidson, Lillian Bach and many more.”
On his message to his fans: ”Oh, I thank them for supporting me through the years till now. God will continue to bless them abundantly and always.”
