Popular social media influencer Roy Clintson aka TheCommissioner has taken to social media to commend Port Harcourt base popular comedian and entertainer KObaba following the success of his just concluded comedy show tagged “JUST ANOTHER TIRED AFRICAN”.
In his word;
I’ve known KObaba since 2017, and I’ve worked closely with him all these years.
Yesterday was the very first time I sat “as a Spectator” to watch him do his thing on stage. It was my first time actually listening to KObaba crack jokes on stage. Other times it’s either I’m running here and there, or ensuring things run smoothly as planned.
Yesterday I paid attention to every detail, and with my shoulders high, and a full chest I acknowledge KObaba as one of the Most Creative, Brilliant, Outstanding, Smart, Innovative, Brave, Entertaining, Fore-Sighted, and Business-Minded Entertainer in the city of Port Harcourt.
He keep proving to us that we can DO IT RIGHT HERE! He has proven to us countless times that “wetin we dey find go Sokoto dey for our Shokoto”.
From the branding of the show to the time management, and down to the quality of the Team (Comedians, Media, Ushers, Protocols, Security, etc) everything was on point.
And one thing that blew my mind was how he BROUGHT LAUGHTER FROM UYO. Damn! Like, who has ever done that in Nigeria? Merging two cities together using Comedy…
As a Business Minded person, and a Skilled Public Relations Practitioner I saw the impact of that initiative in a different light. I see KObaba creating an Entertainment Business relationship between Port Harcourt, and Uyo where both cities can shuffle, exchange and sell their Arts, and fanbase.
One other aspect of the show I, and Wilson Confy noticed and appreciated was the quality of the Audience. Yeah, it was a strictly by Invitation event, but then the hall was filled up with matured Audience. Now, that’s “Intentional Marketing” well executed. And the idea behind the show was sold in details.
Finally, the content of the show really explained the “JUST ANOTHER TIRED AFRICAN” concept – from the branding down to the jokes.
KObaba is taking this Business to a whole new level, and I’m happy I’m still in this town to witness this transition in person.
He also went further to congratulate the following persons who made up the team for the success of the event.
